On the 23rd June 2025 nearly forty of us, including people living with dementia, their carers and volunteers travelled to Sheringham. The coach dropped us off at the Sheringham Railway Station carpark. It was a lovely sunny day and not too hot probably due to the bracing sea breeze. We spent some time exploring the High Street in smaller groups, finding cafes for some refreshment and most of us also walked to the sea wall for views of the sea and beaches. The whole group met again at the Sheringham Trawler for an excellent fish and chip lunch. Following which there was a little more free time before returning to the coach for our trip back to Stoke Holy Cross.

Our next coach outing will be on Monday 8th September and suggestions for the destination are being considered. More details once we have established where we are going. Suggestions so far include Thursford and Gorleston.

On Monday 13th October Angela is joining us to delight with another of her Reminiscence sessions, this time on Communication – Then and Now. It promises to be a very enjoyable morning.

On Monday 27th October the singing window cleaners aka The Squee Gees will entertain us with songs from the 50s and 60s. Another popular activity and if past visits are anything to go by there’ll be lots of opportunity to sing along and for those so inclined to dance to the music.

On Monday 10th November Mavin is joining us to lead a Seated Keep Fit session. Mavin is very good at getting us all moving to music and making us think! Always fun and good for all of us.

On Monday 1st December it will once again be our annual Christmas Lunch at The Old Feathers, Framingham Pigot. The Old Feathers does not usually open on a Monday but they make an exception for our group so we have the main restaurant to ourselves. The menu includes the traditional Christmas dinner choices along with several other options. The food is always excellent and the venue will be resplendent with a large Christmas tree and lots of Christmas decorations. All in all an excellent start to the celebrations.
