August 5th 2021
We’re delighted to announce that Mavin is joining us for the Cafe on 23rd August to get us moving a bit more, and laughing! Mavin has visited us before and is excellent at getting people moving and having fun using chair based exercises. Participation is entirely optional and we guarantee nothing strenuous is involved. Well worth joining us for this session whether or not you choose to participate in the exercises.
July 26th 2021
We had a great time at the first Cafe meeting following the Covid 19 restrictions. It was good to catch up with old friends and to make some new friends. If one of your family or friends is living with Dementia and you live in or near Stoke Holy Cross or Poringland do come and join us at one of the upcoming dates. We’d love to meet you and no referral is necessary.

We are very excited that the Cafe meetings will restart next Monday July 26th and are looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.
June 14th 2021
Following today’s announcement from Boris Johnson we are delaying the re-opening of the cafe until Monday 26th July in line with the revised government guidelines. We are so looking forward to meeting up in person once again.
May 1st 2021
We are delighted to announce that we plan to reopen the Cafe from Monday 12th July 2021. The dates we plan to be open are posted on our Cafe Dates page. We know this has been a particularly tough time for all those affected by dementia and we are looking forward to meeting up in person once again.
17th May – 23d May is Dementia Action Week
Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital’s Dementia Fayre is on Thursday 20th May 2021 between 2pm and 3.30pm is going virtual. A team of experts will be assembled to field any questions you have on dementia care and support. The event aims to provide information and support to people living with dementia and their families.
An ‘Ask the Dementia Experts’ Panel will include experts from the hospital and other organisations.
The Q&A will be recorded and posted on the NNUH website for people who are not able to join live to view.
