Services available locally (Norwich)

Various organisations locally offer events or facilities especially for people living with dementia however many of these have not been available during the lockdown. We have listed some information on what is available locally and will add more detail as these services resume and we receive more detailed information. In the meantime here is some headline information with links to relevant websites.

Cinema City, Norwich

Cinema City generally have one dementia friendly film screening each month.

Theatre Royal, Norwich

Coming soon: Theatre Cares A participatory programme for those living with dementia, their family and carers. It provides a safe space for people to have fun through one-off activities led by experienced practitioners. Each one is very relaxed and set to a leisurely pace with a small number of participants.

Leisure

Riverside Leisure and the UEA Sportspark have run dementia friendly sporting activities pre COVID-19. It is likely that these will resume at some point in the future.

You can call the airport on 01603 420 672 and book a special assistance service in advance. A dementia trained member of staff will meet you in the carpark, help with check in, fast track you through security and get you safely on the plane.
